The legendary ski area of Les Grands Montets is renowned worldwide for its challenging terrain, vast off-piste opportunities, and exceptional snow quality. Situated between 1,235m and 3,300m, it offers 29km of marked pistes, primarily red and black, catering to expert skiers and snowboarders. Its extensive off-piste areas, including the famous 'Pas de Chèvre,' require local guides due to glacial hazards. The domain features a dedicated snowpark. Access is via Argentière. The top-most cable car, reaching the Aiguille Verte, was damaged by fire in 2018, with reconstruction plans underway to modernize the lift system.
