Hiking Trails - Pic du Carlit and GR10

Font-Romeu serves as an excellent starting point for numerous hiking adventures. The ascent to Pic du Carlit (2921m), the highest peak in the French Pyrenees-Orientales, is a challenging but rewarding full-day trek offering stunning views of 9 lakes. Easier trails include walks around the 'Bouillouses Lake' (accessible by shuttle in summer) or along sections of the GR10, a long-distance footpath traversing the Pyrenees. Maps and guides are available at the Tourist Office, with varying difficulty levels for all hikers.
