Gorner Gorge (Gornerschlucht)

The Gorner Gorge is a spectacular natural marvel carved by the Gornera river, located just a 15-minute walk from the southern edge of Zermatt village. Wooden walkways and staircases clinging to the rock face allow visitors to explore the deep gorge, witnessing powerful waterfalls and swirling glacial waters. The gorge is approximately 250 meters long and can be visited from May to October. Entry fees are typically around CHF 5-6 per adult. It offers a cool and refreshing experience, especially on hot summer days, showcasing the raw power of nature.
