Known for its challenging, natural snow pistes and tranquil atmosphere, the Graukogel ski area offers an authentic alpine experience away from the bustling crowds. It is particularly popular with advanced skiers seeking steep and often ungroomed runs amidst pine forests. The area maintains a more traditional feel and relies more on natural snow. Its pistes are primarily red and black, with a total length of approximately 14 km. Operating hours typically from December to April, 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM. A day pass costs approximately €55-65, though multi-day passes for the entire Gastein region are also available.
