Eagles Nest (Kehlsteinhaus)

Perched at 1,834 meters on the Kehlstein mountain, the Eagles Nest offers unparalleled panoramic views of the Berchtesgaden Alps. This historic building, once a mountain retreat, is now a restaurant and viewpoint. Access is via a special bus service from the Obersalzberg Dokumentation Center, followed by an impressive brass-lined tunnel and a golden elevator ride directly into the house. The site is open seasonally from mid-May to mid-October, depending on snow conditions. A round-trip bus and elevator ticket costs approximately 30 EUR.
