Sentier de la Transhumance (The Transhumance Trail)

This historic hiking trail traces the traditional paths used by shepherds for centuries, connecting Bonneval-sur-Arc with high-altitude pastures. The trail offers a moderate difficulty level, typically covering a loop of 8-10 km with an elevation gain of around 400-500 meters, taking 3-4 hours. It's renowned for its breathtaking views of the Vanoise peaks, encounters with local wildlife, and glimpses into the region's agricultural heritage.
