Vallecetta Ski Touring Route

A challenging but immensely rewarding ski touring route that ascends towards the Vallecetta peak, offering spectacular views and powder descents for experienced ski mountaineers. This itinerary typically begins near Bormio 2000 and climbs towards the summit, reaching elevations up to approximately 2,800 meters. The route offers diverse terrain, from open slopes to more technical sections, culminating in panoramic views of the Valtellina valley and the surrounding peaks of the Stelvio National Park. Descent is often off-piste, providing excellent powder conditions for skilled skiers. It requires significant physical effort, advanced backcountry skiing skills, and proper avalanche knowledge and equipment.
