Val d'Ayas Hiking Trails - Rifugio Arp

Champoluc is a starting point for numerous scenic hiking trails in the Val d'Ayas. One of the most popular is the trail to Rifugio Arp (2400m), a charming mountain hut offering stunning views of alpine lakes and the surrounding peaks. The trail is of moderate difficulty, typically taking 2.5-3 hours to reach the hut from Crest (accessible by gondola). Other trails lead to Colle della Bettaforca, the glacial lake Lago Blu, and the historic village of Mascognaz. Maps are available at the tourist office, and guided hikes are also offered. Trails are generally accessible from late May/early June to late October, depending on snow conditions.
