Base Tuono

An incredibly unique museum housed in a former NATO anti-aircraft missile base from the Cold War era. Located near Passo Coe, about 10km from Folgaria, it showcases three fully preserved Nike Hercules missile launchers and a control bunker, offering a fascinating glimpse into a significant period of contemporary history. Guided tours provide detailed explanations of the site's function and the geopolitical context. Open from May to October, with specific hours that can be found on the Alpe Cimbra tourist board website. Entrance fee is typically around €5-€7 per person.
