Guardia Medica (Medical Emergency Service)

A basic medical outpost providing first aid and immediate care for minor injuries and illnesses, especially important in a mountain environment. It functions as an emergency medical service for tourists and residents when general practitioners are not available, typically during evenings, weekends, and holidays. For serious emergencies, patients will be stabilized and transferred to the nearest hospital in Aosta or Ivrea. Availability is usually on-call or with specific opening hours, typically posted locally.
