Lago Gabiet Hiking Trail

A popular and moderately challenging hiking trail leading from Stafal (1825m) to Lago Gabiet (2347m), offering stunning views of the surrounding peaks and the pristine alpine lake. The trail is well-marked and provides a rewarding half-day excursion. It typically takes about 1.5 to 2 hours to ascend and slightly less to descend. The path winds through rhododendron bushes and past small waterfalls, eventually opening up to the majestic Gabiet Lake, ideal for picnics and photography. Difficulty: Moderate. Length: Approximately 4.5 km (one way) with a vertical gain of 522m. Access is free, open primarily from June to October, weather permitting.
