Sentier des Lacs (Lakes Trail)

A popular hiking trail accessible from Pra Loup and Val d'Allos, leading to several stunning high-altitude lakes like Lac d'Allos (the largest natural high-altitude lake in Europe) or Lac des Sagnes. Difficulty ranges from moderate to challenging depending on the starting point and specific route taken. Offers breathtaking views and opportunities for wildlife spotting. Typically open from late May/early June to late October. Free access, but some areas may require an entrance fee for the Mercantour National Park.
