Selva di Val Gardena is a hiking paradise with over 300 km of marked trails. Popular routes include the scenic path to Alpe di Siusi, Europe's largest high-alpine meadow, and challenging treks into the Puez-Odle Nature Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its dramatic geological formations. Trails vary from easy family walks (e.g., Vallunga, a flat valley ideal for strolls) to strenuous multi-day hikes. Many trails lead to charming mountain huts (Rifugi) where hikers can enjoy traditional meals and stunning views. Guided hikes are regularly organized by the local tourist office.
